Along The Way

A moment in my mind
Reality lost as I look back in time
The high and sight for today
But not enough intelligence to let it play out that way
Now it's every moment that I drift past
Memories of times when we would laugh
Wishing to have it all back
But the reality is...
That it is all in the past
Now to look forward from today
Learning from the past, and on which path to stay
Walking towards new goals of what I want at the end of the day
Finally I am walking down the right road
And these are all lessons I have learned from my past
The making of this man I am today
As it is an intelligence I learned to listen to along the way
