Seeing this is the thick of the thin

Wanting nothing more then her strength to over come the pain from within 

So it's every night I hold her tight 

Whispering in her ear how I have loved her my whole life 

Knowing she is my guardian angel

And it is still her hand I get to hold, as on our 50th anniversary 

It's together we have grown old

Heart broken, with no true words

Placing all the blame on you 

As though, I no longer know what to do 

Still staring at these pictures 

Clouded memories that use to be you and I

True words come from the pain 

An anger that rushes towards me 

Directing it at you, I'm walking away 

Picking myself up, carrying on to another day

Seeing what lays in front of me as I stand 

Being the man you questioned me to be 

And it is more then you could have ever believed 

As I still blame you, everything I've gone through

Today my reflection is the one to ask…

Why 

And it is through these tears I cry I can truly see 

What life truly has in store for me
