Now as  a nation we stand strong 

Days of glory as my grandpa tells his old stories 

A pride and heritage I now pass down to my son 

Showing him this great nation is number one

So with each drop of pride 

Sweat, tears and blood all I've cried 

It's for the red white and blue 

My heart beats true

Remembering old stories held on too 

Wondering if grandpa really knew 

What his stories really meant to me and you 

Now as I lay down with this flag
