At an arms reach 

So I don’t get cut too deep 

But ending it this way 

With the right words to push you away

Because it's from this new darkness I speak 

And this new weakness in you I seek...

Better off dead or on my own

Seeing I will always stand alone

Remembering why I am this way

So as this light fades away  

This is the distance at which I stay

Because I will always push everyone away 

Knowing that’s what keeps me alive today

But then here I am forever walking away

And I'm not leaving with one word left to say

One thousand daggers deep 

Every glance your way, another breath of mine you have taken away 

So as I hold you tight my dreams come to life 

You are more than the dream girl for which I asked

It's with you I want to share my every smile and laugh

No more questions of why just pictures of you when I close my eyes

So as I say it today you are the girl that has taken away every breath I held tight

Every word I was scared to say

Every dream I thought had been taken away 

As it is for you I fell today and will love for the rest of my days
