My Pain

A test of time
But yours ran out before I could shine
Now with each word there is pain
Lost as I drown
No place up when I am down
No longer able to see the light of the day
Everything darkened when you went away
But here I am left to stay
Trying to figure out my way
Without your light to guide me today
I am left with nothing more today
As I remember saying goodbye that day
Not knowing it would be the last time
To say I love you
But all I did was walk away
I wrote this for my Mom and to show no matter what is going on in life always say goodbye because tomorrow is never promised and you might not be able to say I love you and goodbye again
