Still Here

A memory that can never be erased 

Love that will forever be embraced  

Etched into my heart 

Sown deep into the fabric of my loins 

It’s as I think about you with each word I speak 

Memories that still remind me of the man I use to be 

Childhood memories for us all to laugh at 

But without you how can I really relive the past 

Counting the days is far easier than my tears 

Each one hurting the same… 

As it is without you I am still here….

Seeing the shallow depths of my peaks

Breaking my back is my only plan 

Living this life with no gains 

Reliving all of my pain 

Slashing at my weak tonight I finally fall asleep

The pooling of the fear was never seen, as he kept it all inside

Each tear was one more drop into the sea he was trying to navigate 

Under the cover of a wicked smile, he lied

As a man no one could see him

Pooling until it was finally in this pain he cried 

Tears forming as blood in his hands 

Showing how much he could take was never part of the plan
