Loving You

The secret vow I vowed to you, 

Be the man you never knew. 

So come day or night, 

I will always be there to hold you tight. 

Dreams of what our life could be like if I held you for the rest of my life. 

No more cold restless nights, 

As it’s our warmth that would comfort our dreams as we held each other tight. 

With laughter and play snuggling in the morning as we lay. 

And when days became night, 

Words we hung onto trying to stay awake,

Fighting the weight of our eye lids so just one more could be said.

And once again in the morning light, 

I’m still holding you tight.

Living now what I know is the perfect life,

Fulfilling the vow I vowed to you, 

And all it has taken is loving you.

Thinking about every moment that could be 

Wishing for more and I can't wait to see

Harsh moments of truths

Words I once whispered to you 

Setting out to find my truth 

The emotional roller coaster I use to be

You standing there, the only road block I could see  

Now shut down and cold, the only thing you will ever know 

So as my words slow down

True peace has nothing to be found  

Pictures with smile are an every day act

As it is my heart that forever wears a frown 

Tip toeing through, not making a sound 

As this cold heart is to fragile for another round
