How to say goodbye 

Words, thoughts, each tear I cry 

Remembering your embrace 

Just doing a job they say 

But you were my hero in so many ways

A rescue in the middle of the night 

Making sure my family was alright

So now as I look back what words can I say

To give you thanks for all you did for me every day 

Regretting my lost chance to say goodbye

But from here to heaven I will try
