Colorado's Home

Colorado's Home

By John M Lennon

Coming home
White cap tops
Blue sky's
Colorado mountains where my heart lies
Four seasons of change
But my heart remains
Beating true for you
Colorful Colorado here I lay
Without you I would not be alive
So as I am peaking out over the peaks
Hearts skip another beat
Open wide range
It's here the real west remains
Birds swore high, playing in the sky
Deer grazing on fields of wild grass
Colorado is where my heart lives
So each back road drove
Every snow flake that falls from the sky
Colorado here with you I will always lay
True to you and the real beauty that is now, me and you
Together at last
No shadows to be cast
As it's here I was laid last
Remembered by you, and all that we hang onto
