Challenging my mind as I fight 

But here they unite 

As its pen to pad in this darkness I fight 

Seeing the rhythm to the rhyme 

Each word wrote as it is my time to shine 

Out smarted only by the confidence I lack

But here I am fighting right back

Soaking the pages written each day 

Burning of the words you left me with that day

How much further can I go 

Darkest just before the dawn 

Twenty third hour is what I'm working on  

The Suns warmth, A comfort in my life

Needing just that flicker of light

Wanting to be alright

Seeing the end to this dark night

Slashing at the pain 

I feel a new warmth that stains 

The light becomes so bright 

Seeing what I have done to my own life

A long drive 

A whisper as the wind whips by 

The cross roads of my heart 

Every mile and memory 

The curves of the road up ahead 

Chasing the sight of you in the high beams 

Singing the songs I sang to you till the end 

So as the tires roar on the road and the rain falls 

Its like the crying of my heart after letting go 

Now all I can do is chase 

Hoping to find the answer to all this pain 

But a million miles I have drove 

With the answers still eluding me on which way to go 

It's the steering wheel I let go 

Letting the Lord take me down his road

Looking at you, wanting more then just friends 

Knowing where each other had been 

Starting out slow this, love would soon grow 

Uncontrollable at times 

Lost in the blinding speed that is life 

Loosing sight of what was the reality of our time 

Each moment leading to the next

Caught in a whirlwind that has made our live's a mess 

With nothing more left to show, then this paper filled with the pain of letting go 

You read this aday too late 

And it's from every second this moment will take

And she is always with me in my dreams 

Mornings bring, waking in her arms 

Her beautiful eyes the first thing I see 

A light I always want there to be, her grace and smile next to me 

So here is the promise I make to her today

I will always be here to love, kiss and cherish her in every way 

Respect, care and always say 

The love I have for her in every way 

Lifting her up, and wiping away any tears and or fears 

For this girl I love will one day be my wife
